Summary
MARAD wants to keep collecting financial info from groups that borrow money or get help from them. They updated the paperwork to include mailing costs and are asking for your thoughts before renewing the approval. If you’re involved, now’s the time to speak up—this could affect how much time and money you spend on reports.

Continued MARAD Financial Reporting
If your organization borrows funds from or receives financial benefits from the Maritime Administration (MARAD), you will continue to have to submit the Uniform Financial Reporting Requirements (OMB control number 2133-0005) so MARAD can evaluate your financial condition. MARAD is seeking public comments before it requests renewal of this collection under the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995.
Mailing Costs Added to Burden Estimate
MARAD updated the public burden estimate for OMB 2133-0005 to include mailing costs for respondents. If you submit these reports, the recognized respondent cost now explicitly includes mailing expenses.
