VEI Allowed Long-Term Waste Injection
The EPA granted Vickery Environmental, Inc. an exemption to keep injecting certain hazardous wastes underground at five Class I wells in Vickery, Ohio (wells #2, #4, #5, #6, and #8). EPA found there will be no migration of hazardous constituents out of the injection zone or into an underground source of drinking water for at least 10,000 years, and the exemption allows injection only of the hazardous wastes listed by the codes in Table 1. This is a final EPA action and there is no administrative appeal.
