From October 9 to 12, 2025, a safety zone will be set up on the Ohio River near Cincinnati during nightly fireworks from 8:30 to 11 p.m. Boats and people can’t enter this area unless they get special permission. This keeps everyone safe and smooths out the celebration without costing anyone extra.

Ohio River fireworks safety zone

From October 9, 2025 through October 12, 2025, the Coast Guard will set a safety zone on the Ohio River between mile markers 469.7 and 471.0 during nightly fireworks from 8:30 p.m. to 11 p.m. Boats and people may not enter the zone during those times unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Sector Ohio Valley or a designated representative.
