New Members Gain Antitrust Liability Limit
On July 9, 2025, the Information Warfare Research Project Consortium filed notifications adding a list of companies (including AISensation LLC; Appian Corp.; Carnegie Mellon University dba Software Engineering Institute; SentinelOne, Inc.; Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution; and many others) as parties to the venture. The filing was made to extend the National Cooperative Research and Production Act of 1993's provision that limits antitrust plaintiffs' recovery to actual damages for those parties.
