Extra Duties on Chinese Door Springs
The Department of Commerce found that producers and exporters in China received subsidies for overhead door counterbalance torsion springs. As a result, countervailing duties (extra taxes/fees) will be applied to imports of these springs from the People’s Republic of China that relate to the period January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2023. Importers of these springs should expect new fees soon.
