Guadalupe Gil from Phoenix got caught smuggling thousands of bullets from the U.S. to Mexico and was sentenced to over three years in prison. Because of this, the government is banning Gil from exporting anything for 10 years and canceling any export licenses he had. Ten-Year Export Ban for Individual

Guadalupe Gil is banned from exporting items subject to the Export Administration Regulations until November 30, 2033. From the date of this Order you may not apply for, obtain, or use any BIS export license or otherwise participate in export transactions for Gil or on his behalf.

Revocation of BIS Licenses Held

Any Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) licenses or authorizations in which Gil had an interest at the time of his conviction are revoked. Those revoked authorizations cannot be used after the effective date of this Order.

Third-Party Dealings With Denied Person Prohibited

No person may export, reexport, transfer, sell to, finance for, or otherwise facilitate transactions involving BIS-controlled items to or on behalf of the Denied Person. The Order also prohibits acquiring items from or servicing items owned or controlled by the Denied Person if you know they will be exported.

Order Can Extend to Related Entities

BIS may apply this denial order to any person, firm, corporation, or business organization related to Gil by ownership, control, position, affiliation, or other connection if needed to prevent evasion. Related entities could be made subject to the same restrictions to stop attempts to bypass the Order.
