Summary

Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, Stanford University, and Indiana University got the green light to bring in some super high-tech scientific gear from France, Canada, the UK, and Germany without paying import taxes. These cool instruments will help scientists study magnets, lasers, and materials in ways we couldn’t before. No U.S. versions matched these tools, so the duty-free approval speeds up research without extra costs.
