Deacero imports: suspension starting April 2, 2024

If you import certain low carbon steel (LCS) wire from Mexico for Deacero S.A.P.I. de C.V., those imports will be subject to suspension of liquidation on or after April 2, 2024. That means Customs will stop finalizing those entries pending further action under the antidumping and countervailing duty orders.

Other Mexican LCS wire imports: suspension on publication

All other imports of certain low carbon steel (LCS) wire from Mexico will be subject to suspension of liquidation on or after the date this notice is published in the Federal Register. Customs will withhold final liquidation of those entries pending the outcome of Commerce’s circumvention determination.

Commerce is imposing a certification requirement related to these imports of certain LCS wire from Mexico. Importers or other parties involved with those entries will need to comply with the new certification rule tied to the circumvention determination.
