Grants to Hire School Mental-Health Pros

The Department finalized priorities, requirements, and definitions for the Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration Grant Program (Assistance Listing Number 84.184X) to better target activities that address shortages of school-based mental health providers, specifically school psychologists, in high-need local educational agencies. These priorities may be used in competitions in fiscal year (FY) 2025 and later.

New Rules Apply Starting in FY2025

The new priorities, requirements, and definitions replace the Department’s October 4, 2022 notice (87 FR 60083) and may be used for competitions in fiscal year (FY) 2025 and later. Competitions with notices inviting applications published before these final priorities were issued will remain governed by the 2022 priorities and requirements.
