2026 DDA and QCT Designations Announced
HUD has designated Difficult Development Areas (DDAs) and Qualified Census Tracts (QCTs) for 2026 for use with the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) under Internal Revenue Code Section 42. If your development is in a designated DDA or QCT, it may become easier and cheaper to build affordable housing there, and these changes apply to the 2026 designations.
