Application to Import Listed Schedule I Substances
On September 30, 2025, VHG Labs DBA LGC Standards (Manchester, New Hampshire) applied to be registered to import specific Schedule I controlled substances (for example, 3-methylmethcathinone, drug code 1259, and Zipeprol, drug code 9873, plus numerous listed fentanyl analogs such as drug codes 9817–9863). The company says it plans to import those substances for distribution for analytical testing purposes only.
Import Authorization Excludes Finished Dosage Forms
The registration, if granted, will authorize importation of the listed drug codes only for analytical testing and will not authorize import of Food and Drug Administration-approved or non-approved finished dosage forms for commercial sale. Approval will be limited to activities consistent with 21 U.S.C. 952(a)(2).
