Travel Expenses Provided for Members

Non-federal public IACC members are provided travel expenses to help them attend in-person parts of hybrid meetings. Travel reimbursements are available to support member participation at meetings held in person.

Nomination Deadline Extended

The deadline to nominate public members to the Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee (IACC) has been extended through Friday, January 2, 2026. If you or someone you know wants to apply, nominations must be sent by that date to the Office of National Autism Coordination by mail or email.

Eligibility and Service Requirements

To serve as a non-federal public IACC member you must be at least 18 years old, a U.S. citizen, and male applicants must have registered with Selective Service. Federally-registered lobbyists and federal employees are not eligible, appointees serve as Special Government Employees and must complete annual confidential financial disclosure reports, a foreign activities questionnaire, and standard background checks.

Length and Frequency of Service

Non-federal public IACC members serve 4-year terms and may be reappointed once for an additional 4-year term. The Committee meets at least twice each year, and members are expected to make every effort to attend full committee meetings, subcommittee meetings, and workshops.
