Public comment period open until Dec 31

You can submit comments, protests, or a motion to intervene about this project through December 31, 2025 at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time. The Commission accepts electronic filings via its eFiling or eComment systems (comments up to 6,000 characters) or paper filings sent to the addresses in the notice; include docket number P-2879-017.

Build 4-foot flood wall at powerhouse

The licensee requests permission to construct a 4-foot-high flood wall on top of the existing left bank retaining wall at the Bolton Falls Hydroelectric Project to prevent flooding of the powerhouse area during high flow events. The project is on the Winooski River in Washington County, Vermont (Project No. P-2879-017). The applicant says no new ground disturbance is expected and best management practices will be used to control erosion and sedimentation.

No change to power output or flow releases

The amendment is a non-capacity change and will not affect how much power the project produces; the project will continue to operate in run-of-river mode. The applicant says the proposed work would have no effect on the project's minimum flow release and will not change project operation during or after construction.
