Charleston Harbor Boat Access Restricted
On December 13, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., the Coast Guard will enforce a special local regulation that closes parts of Charleston Harbor (including Anchorage A, Shutes Folly, Bennis Reach, Horse Reach, Hog Island Reach, Town Creek Lower Reach, and the Ashley River) to vessels unless authorized by the Captain of the Port Charleston. If you are operating a boat in the regulated area you may not enter, transit through, anchor in, or remain in the area without authorization and must follow directions from the Patrol Commander or other designated representatives.
