Summary
The Depository Trust Company (DTC) is shutting down its DTax service, which helps with domestic tax reporting. This change affects DTC users who access DTax through their systems, and it means the service will no longer be available starting now. There’s no impact on fees, but references to DTax will be removed from official guides to keep things clear and up to date.

DTax Service Decommissioned Dec 4, 2025
DTCC Solutions will decommission the DTax service effective December 4, 2025. The service, which was accessible to Participants via DTC's PTS and PBS inquiry functions, will no longer be available after that date; affected clients were notified and DTCC Solutions will support DTax until the Decommission Date. DTC states there is no associated fee to remove because DTC did not charge for PTS/PBS access to DTax.
DTC Guides Updated to Remove DTax References
DTC will amend its Distributions Guide and the glossary of the Fee Guide to remove all references and the DTax definition on December 4, 2025. These edits align DTC's published Guides with DTCC Solutions' retirement of DTax so the Guides reflect the current PTS and PBS service functions.
