QUAD A Accreditation Affects Rural Clinics

If you get health care through Medicare or Medicaid in a rural area, the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities (QUAD A) has asked to stay approved to accredit rural health clinics. If QUAD A stays approved, rural health clinics accredited by QUAD A can be "deemed" to meet Medicare and Medicaid requirements and continue to participate in those programs. Public comments on QUAD A's request are due by January 7, 2026, and QUAD A's current approval term expires March 23, 2026.
