Swap Dealers Face Heavy Recordkeeping

Swap dealers (SDs) and major swap participants (MSPs) must develop and retain written swap trading relationship documentation and end user exception documentation, and maintain records for swap confirmation, portfolio reconciliation, and portfolio compression. The information collection is mandatory and the Commission estimates 108 respondents will each spend an average of 7,324.5 hours, for a total annual burden of 791,046 hours. The Commission is seeking public comments on the extension of this collection through January 8, 2026.
