Round-Lot Size Now Price-Based

NYSE American changed Rule 7.5E so a “round lot” follows the Regulation NMS definition that sets round-lot sizes by a stock’s average closing price: $250.00 or less = 100 shares; $250.01–$1,000.00 = 40 shares; $1,000.01–$10,000.00 = 10 shares; $10,000.01 or more = 1 share. The rule replaces the prior wording “specified by the primary listing market” with “required by the definition of ‘round lot’ under Regulation NMS.”

Rule Change Effective Immediately

The Exchange filed the amendment on November 25, 2025 and the filing became effective under Section 19(b)(3)(A) and Rule 19b-4(f)(6), meaning the Exchange’s Rule 7.5E now reflects the Regulation NMS round-lot definition without a delayed effectiveness period. Regulation NMS’s round-lot definition itself was implemented on the first business day of November 2025.
