The zone is defined by specific WGS 84/NAD 83 coordinates in the rule and is enforced for that one-hour period.
Permission required to enter safety zone
If you need to enter the safety zone during the enforcement period, you must obtain authorization from the Captain of the Port Los Angeles-Long Beach or a designated representative. To request permission, contact the COTP or representative on VHF-FM Channel 13 (156.65 MHz) or Channel 16 (156.8 MHz).
