EPA is asking for public comments on pesticide tolerance petitions and will accept comments through January 15, 2026. Submit comments online at https://www.regulations.gov using the docket ID for the petition of interest and do not submit Confidential Business Information (CBI) electronically.
Petitions seek new pesticide tolerances
EPA received petitions requesting establishment or modification of pesticide residue tolerances on many commodities, including: afidopyropen on orange (increase from 0.15 ppm to 0.3 ppm); flutianil on hop, dried cones (request to increase from 2 ppm to 6 ppm and new tolerances on leafy and lettuce commodities at 1.5–6 ppm); pydiflumetofen on banana at 0.4 ppm; clopyralid on hazelnut at 0.05 ppm; ethephon on fig at 0.02 ppm; and multiple flumioxazin tolerances such as avocado at 0.02 ppm and dried fig at 0.46 ppm. EPA will consider public comments and additional data before determining final tolerances.
