On December 14 and 21, 2025, the Coast Guard will enforce special rules on San Diego Bay during the Parade of Lights to keep everyone safe. Anchoring ban during Parade of Lights
If you are on San Diego Bay, you may not anchor, block, loiter, or impede within the regulated Parade of Lights area from 5:30 p.m. through 9:30 p.m. on December 14, 2025, and from 5:30 p.m. through 9:30 p.m. on December 21, 2025. These actions are allowed only if you have authorization from the Captain of the Port Sector San Diego or a designated representative.
