Consortium to Secure Nuclear Fuel Supply Chain
DOE's proposed Voluntary Agreement would establish a consortium and plans of action to keep domestic nuclear fuel supply chain capacity available for existing and future reactors. The consortium will address milling, conversion, enrichment, deconversion, fabrication, recycling and reprocessing, end users, and the Uranium Fuel Infrastructure Resilience Mechanism (UFIRM) and may begin after the notice publication on December 19, 2025.
