Submission Deadline Extended for Governments
The FAA changed the submission instructions that had required proposals from State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) governments to be received no later than 3 p.m. ET on December 11, 2025. Instead, SLTT governments must now submit proposals in accordance with the dates listed in the Solicitation Information Request (SIR) posted to sam.gov.
eVTOL/AAM Pilot Program Established
The FAA announced establishment of the Electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) and Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) Integration Pilot Program and issued a Request for Proposals in a notice initially published September 16, 2025. The program supports testing new flying taxi and drone technologies and invites SLTT governments to submit proposals to participate.
