Public meeting and comment period

The Committee will hold an in-person public meeting on January 28, 2026 at the Muscogee Creek Nation Veterans Office in Okmulgee, OK. A public comment period is scheduled from 4:00 p.m. CDT to no later than 4:30 p.m. CDT on January 28, 2026, and individuals are allowed up to three minutes each for oral statements.

Closed sessions protect Veterans' privacy

Portions of the meeting—tours of VA facilities, clinical discussions, and personal testimonies—are closed to the public to protect Veterans' privacy under 5 U.S.C. 552b(c)(6). The January 27, 2026 session at the Tulsa Vet Center will be closed for these activities.

Committee will review combat veterans' readjustment needs

The Advisory Committee on the Readjustment of Veterans will assemble, review, and assess information about the needs of Veterans readjusting to civilian life and will take into account the needs of Veterans who served in combat theaters of operation in carrying out its advisory role.
