$1,000,000 Award to WIN

The Administration for Children and Families plans to award up to $1,000,000 to the Welcoming Initiative for Newcomers (WIN) to run a nationwide state readiness assessment for refugee resettlement. The award covers work from January 5, 2026 through September 29, 2026 to build tools and analyses states can use for placement decisions.

State-by-State Housing and Labor Analyses

The assessment will include state-by-state analyses of housing availability, labor market conditions, education systems, staffing, and state-specific labor force shortages and corresponding industries. The study will use standardized tools, structured interviews, and focus groups to gather this information.
