The Department of Labor is updating its complaint forms for workers who face job discrimination by federal contractors or subcontractors. 3 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 2 costs, 0 mixed.

Who You Can File Discrimination Complaints With

If you are an applicant or employee of a Federal contractor or subcontractor, you may file discrimination complaints with the OFCCP under Section 503 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Vietnam Era Veterans' Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA). You may no longer file complaints with OFCCP pursuant to Executive Order 11246 after President Trump revoked it by Executive Order 14173 on January 21, 2025.

Complaint Forms Updated To Match New Rule

The OFCCP has revised its complaint and pre-complaint inquiry forms so the questions align with Executive Order 14173 and the current law. These updated forms reflect the removal of items related to E.O. 11246 and were submitted to OMB for Paperwork Reduction Act approval under OMB Control Number 1250-0002.

Estimated Time and Cost To File Complaints

DOL estimates 1,718 respondents will use these complaint forms, with a total annual time burden of 505 hours and total annual other costs of $1,081. The agency is requesting Paperwork Reduction Act authorization for this collection for three years, and OMB will consider comments received by February 2, 2026.
