Collateral, Liens, and Income Assignments
FSA will use the information you give them to obtain liens on collateral, provide evidence of indebtedness, and, when appropriate, obtain assignments on income or sales proceeds to ensure loan repayment. That means applying for a direct loan may require giving the agency rights to collateral or sales/income streams as part of the loan terms.
Paperwork for FSA Direct Loans
If you apply for a Farm Service Agency (FSA) direct loan, you must submit financial records, production history, and other information on FSA forms. The collection is OMB Control Number 0560-0237, covers 202,013 respondents with a total of 336,908 burden hours, and comments on the collection are due by February 6, 2026. Responses are required on occasion and annually.
