Missouri updates construction permit fees

If you operate or own a facility in Missouri that applies for or receives construction permits for air pollution sources, Missouri updated the fees you pay to apply for and receive those permits. The revised rule is part of a State Implementation Plan submission dated March 19, 2025, shows an effective date of January 1, 2026, and EPA is proposing to approve the change (comments due February 9, 2026).

Removal of voluntary-permit subsection

Missouri removed subsection (1)(B) from its construction-permit rule that had provided the ability for facilities to apply for and receive voluntary permits. This revision is part of the March 19, 2025 SIP submission, is shown with an effective date of January 1, 2026, and EPA is proposing to approve the removal (comments due February 9, 2026).
