Notice

Summary

The CDC wants your thoughts on a new survey and focus groups to see how well their cancer control training programs are working. This affects organizations involved in the National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program and helps make sure resources are used wisely. Comments are open until March 16, 2026, with no new costs for participants.

Analyzed Economic Effects

2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 1 costs, 0 mixed.

Evaluation Adds Repeated Surveys and Focus Groups

CDC changed the evaluation design for the DP23-0017 TTA program so the web-based survey will be given twice (previously once) and annual focus groups will be added to collect more information on short-term outcomes and how training and technical assistance (TTA) contributed to NCCCP recipients' program goals. CDC says this redesign is intended to provide interim information and allow program improvements to better serve NCCCP recipients.

NCCCP Recipients Face New Survey Burden

If your organization is one of the National Comprehensive Cancer Control Program (NCCCP) recipients, CDC will ask two people from each recipient to complete a web-based survey twice and some recipients to join annual focus groups. CDC estimates the total annualized response burden for this data collection is 96 hours; participation is voluntary, there are no incentives, and there are no direct costs to respondents other than their time.
