Monthly NRC NSHC Notice and Deadlines
The NRC published a monthly notice listing license amendments that the agency says involve No Significant Hazards Consideration (NSHC) for the period December 5–31, 2025. If you want to comment, you must file comments by February 19, 2026, and if you want a hearing or to intervene you must file by March 23, 2026.
Agency Can Issue Amendments Early
Normally the NRC waits 60 days after publication before issuing amendments, but the Commission may issue an amendment earlier if it determines the amendment involves NSHC or if delaying action would cause derating or shutdown. If the NRC issues an amendment early, any hearing would take place after issuance.
E-Filing and Digital ID Requirement
All documents in NRC adjudicatory proceedings generally must be filed electronically through the NRC E-Filing system. Participants should request a digital ID certificate at least 10 days before a filing deadline and must submit electronic filings no later than 11:59 p.m. ET on the due date.
Many Amendments Categorically Exempt From NEPA Review
Unless otherwise indicated, the NRC determined the listed amendments meet the criteria for categorical exclusion under 10 CFR 51.22(b), so no environmental impact statement or environmental assessment need be prepared for those amendments.
