National Alzheimer's Plan Update Meeting

HHS is holding a public Advisory Council meeting on February 9, 2026 (10:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.) to introduce new members and discuss updating the National Plan to Address Alzheimer's Disease for 2026–2035. The meeting will include agency overviews of work since 2011 and presentations on innovative Alzheimer's interventions.

Public Comment Opportunity Rules

There is a public comment period on February 9, 2026 from 4:00 p.m. to 4:25 p.m.; oral comments are limited to two (2) minutes per individual and you must register by emailing your name to [email protected] by Monday, February 2, 2026. Written comments (including a written copy of oral remarks) may be submitted for the record by Wednesday, February 11, 2026 to the same email or by mail.

In-Person Security and ID Requirements

If you plan to attend in person at the Hubert H. Humphrey Building, you must register by emailing [email protected] by Monday, February 2, 2026 to be placed on the expected-attendees list and present a REAL ID-compliant credential or another federally approved form of identification to enter. Non-U.S. citizens must indicate that when registering so appropriate security procedures can be followed.

Hybrid Meeting with Live Webcast

The Advisory Council meeting will be hybrid and streamed live at www.hhs.gov/live on February 9, 2026, and video recordings will be added to the National Alzheimer's Project Act website afterward, allowing those who cannot attend in person to watch the presentations and proceedings.
