Companies Added to OFAC SDN List
On July 30, 2025, the Department of State published names of companies added to the Department of the Treasury’s Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons (SDN) List. The property and interests in property of those listed persons that are subject to U.S. jurisdiction are blocked under the relevant sanctions authorities (Executive Order 13846).
Listed Vessels Identified as Blocked Property
The notice identifies specific vessels (by name, IMO, flag, and MMSI) as property in which designated blocked persons have an interest; those vessels are therefore identified in connection with the SDN designations under E.O. 13846. Several tankers and chemical/oil vessels are named and linked to blocked entities in the notice.
Designations Linked to Iranian Oil Trade
The listed entities were designated pursuant to Executive Order 13846 for knowingly engaging in significant transactions involving the purchase, acquisition, sale, transport, or marketing of petroleum or petrochemical products from Iran. The notice cites designation authorities including section 3(a)(ii) and 3(a)(iii) of E.O. 13846 and indicates blocking of property under Sec. 5(a)(iv).
