FERC opens rate fairness investigation

On January 30, 2026, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission started an investigation under section 206 to decide whether DCR Transmission, L.L.C.'s Transmission Owner Tariff and annual Base Transmission Revenue Requirement are unjust, unreasonable, or unlawful. If the Commission finds the rates unlawful, it could change how much customers pay for transmission service.

Refunds effective back to June 12, 2024

The Commission set the refund effective date at June 12, 2024. That means if FERC orders refunds in this docket, those refunds may apply to charges collected on or after June 12, 2024.

21-day window to intervene

If you want to be heard in Docket No. EL26-34-000, you must file a notice of intervention or motion to intervene under FERC Rule 214 within 21 days of the order's issuance (the order was issued January 30, 2026). The notice describes electronic filing (eFile) and mailing options to submit your intervention.
