The President temporarily increased the in-quota amount of lean beef trimmings by 80,000 metric tons for calendar year 2026. The increase applies only to HTSUS codes 0201.30.5091, 0201.30.5097, 0202.30.5091, and 0202.30.5097 and will be released in four quarterly tranches of 20,000 mt each (Feb 13–Mar 31; Apr 1–Jun 30; Jul 1–Sep 30; Oct 1–Dec 31) on a first-come, first-served basis to raise supply of ground beef for U.S. consumers.
All Additional TRQ Allocated to Argentina
The proclamation allocates the entire additional 80,000 metric tons of in-quota lean beef trimmings for 2026 to Argentina. That means all of this extra in-quota supply for the year will come from Argentina.
