Who Qualifies for DoD Impact Aid
Local educational agencies that educate military-dependent students with severe disabilities can apply for DoD Impact Aid by submitting SD Form 816. To be eligible, the LEA must show at least two military dependents with severe disabilities and that the cost per such student is at least five times the national average or three times the state average (whichever is lower); the LEA must also report counts of eligible children living on-base or off-base during the previous school year and provide banking information to receive payment.
