Reinstated nursing facility standards
If you receive Medicaid long-term care in a nursing facility or an intermediate care facility for people with intellectual disabilities (ICF/IID), your State must follow the requirements in 42 CFR 442.43 for those services. This rule reinstates paragraph (a) of 42 CFR 438.72 and takes effect immediately (filed 2026-02-24; published 2026-02-25).
