Four‑Year IGPAC Renewal and Open Nominations

Who Is Eligible To Apply
To be considered for IGPAC membership you must be a U.S. citizen, cannot be a full‑time employee of a U.S. governmental entity, cannot be registered under the Foreign Agents Registration Act, and must represent the executive or legislative branch of a state, county, or municipal government (or an organization representing those entities).
Members Serve Unpaid; Pay Their Own Costs
IGPAC members serve without compensation and without reimbursement of expenses. Members are responsible for all expenses they incur to attend meetings or otherwise participate in IGPAC activities.
Security Clearances and Confidentiality Required
IGPAC members must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance or complete a background investigation and sign a non‑disclosure agreement in order to access classified or trade‑sensitive documents while serving.
Limited Membership Slots and Appointment Terms
The IGPAC is composed of not more than 35 members appointed by the U.S. Trade Representative; appointments last no longer than the charter term and members may be reappointed for any number of terms.
