Mandatory NCIC Checks for Visitors
If you are a member of the public 18 years or older who requests access to the Pentagon or a Pentagon facility, the Pentagon Pass Office will use the information you provide to run an NCIC (criminal history) check before granting access.
Electronic DD Form 2249 Required
Personnel who require swipe access to the Pentagon or its leased facilities must enroll by electronically submitting DD Form 2249 through the Access Management Portal (AMP); this electronic submission requirement has been in effect since November 1, 2024.
Time Burden: Responses and Hours
The proposed collection estimates 258,200 annual respondents and 32,484 total annual burden hours (average burden per response 8.5 minutes). The DD Form 2249 component is estimated at 47,200 respondents (10 minutes each) and the Visitor Management System at 211,000 respondents (7 minutes each).
