FAA to Release 765 STC Engineering Data
The FAA intends to declare 765 Century Flight Systems Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs) abandoned and, if it receives no response by September 15, 2026, will release the related engineering data to anyone who asks. The FAA says these STCs have had no activity for 3 years and that sharing the data will enhance aviation safety under 49 U.S.C. 44704(a)(5).
Owners Must Prove STC Ownership to Reclaim
If you are the owner, heir, or transferee of any of the 765 STCs, you must contact the FAA and provide a notarized copy of government-issued ID plus written background establishing ownership or heirship to reclaim the STCs. The FAA sent a registered letter dated December 17, 2025 requesting a written response within 60 days and will consider no response by September 15, 2026 as abandonment.
