Must Notify Fed Before Buying Bank Control
If you want to buy or control voting shares of a bank or bank holding company, you must apply under the Change in Bank Control Act (12 U.S.C. 1817(j)) and section 225.41 of Regulation Y (12 CFR 225.41). The Federal Reserve will consider the factors listed in paragraph 7 of the Act when deciding on those applications.
