Notice
Summary
Nasdaq GEMX is giving its customers more time to remove their special GPS antennas used for super-accurate time syncing in the Exchange’s Carteret data center. This extension means customers can keep using the service a bit longer before it ends, with no extra costs mentioned. If you’re one of these customers, mark your calendar and get ready for the final removal date!
Analyzed Economic Effects
2 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 0 costs, 1 mixed.
Monthly Fee Continues Through Extension
Existing customers with a dedicated GPS antenna will continue to be charged the ongoing monthly fee of $600 (prorated as appropriate) through April 30, 2026, and the Exchange will not assess the $1,500 installation fee during this extension period. Customers remain free to terminate the dedicated GPS antenna service at any time before April 30, 2026.
Dedicated GPS Antenna Termination Delayed
If you co-locate servers in GEMX's Carteret (NY11) data center and use a dedicated GPS antenna, you can continue using that dedicated antenna until April 30, 2026. The Exchange moved the termination date from April 1, 2026 to April 30, 2026 to allow more time to transition to the shared GPS service (completion now projected March 27, 2026).
