Data Used to Set Insurance Prices
The survey will collect organic price and production data from certified organic farms in all 50 States that the USDA Risk Management Agency (RMA) requires to establish organic-specific price elections for the crop insurance program. Those price elections are used in the crop insurance program.
Annual Organic Survey Burden
Certified organic farms are asked to provide information once a year for the 2026 RMA Organic Price Survey. The collection targets 27,000 respondents across all 50 States and totals 15,077 burden hours; the survey carries a voluntary reporting statement.
