Railroad Paperwork Continues; Burden Quantified
If you operate a railroad or own freight cars, FRA will extend (without change) the existing paperwork rules for bad-order tags, home-shop cards, and stenciling/reporting marks under 49 CFR part 215. The collection covers a respondent universe of 754 railroads with 285,000 annual responses, an estimated 38,000 annual burden hours, and a $2,789,580 annual burden-hour dollar cost equivalent; comments are due May 14, 2026.
