Summary

If you own a Pilatus PC-24 airplane, the FAA has new safety rules for you! Starting May 19, 2026, you must update your plane’s maintenance manual with stricter safety checks to keep flying safe. These changes might mean extra work but help prevent problems and keep everyone in the sky secure.

Analyzed Economic Effects

4 provisions identified: 1 benefits, 2 costs, 1 mixed.

Stricter Inspection Intervals Added

The AD requires incorporating new and more restrictive tasks and limitations, including revised inspection intervals for various fuselage sections and for aileron and rudder trim actuators, as specified in EASA AD 2025-0211. These changes are intended to address part failures that could lead to loss of control of the airplane.

Revise Maintenance Manual Quickly

If you operate a Pilatus Model PC-24, you must revise the airworthiness limitations section (ALS) of your aircraft maintenance manual or instructions for continued airworthiness within 30 days after May 19, 2026. The AD replaces the prior AD and requires this ALS revision to incorporate new or more restrictive maintenance tasks.

FAA Estimated Compliance Cost

The FAA estimates this AD affects 167 U.S.-registered Pilatus PC-24 airplanes and that revising the ALS will take 1 work-hour at $85 per airplane. The FAA’s estimated total cost on U.S. operators for this action is $14,195.

Owners Can Do the Work Themselves

The AD allows the owner/operator who holds at least a private pilot certificate to perform the required ALS revision actions and to enter compliance into aircraft records. The entries must follow 14 CFR 43.9(a) and 91.417(a)(2)(v) and be maintained as required by 14 CFR 91.417, 121.380, or 135.439.
