Taiwan Aluminum Sheets Get Standard Duty Adjustments

Published Date: 4/16/2026

Notice

Summary

The U.S. Department of Commerce found that a Taiwanese company sold aluminum sheets in the U.S. for less than fair value from April 2023 to March 2024. Because of this, they’re finalizing extra duties to level the playing field, effective April 16, 2026. This means importers might pay more, and companies involved should get ready for these changes.

Importers Face New Antidumping Duties

If you import common alloy aluminum sheet from Taiwan, Commerce’s final results mean U.S. Customs will assess antidumping duties based on the review published April 16, 2026. For unreviewed entries without a company rate, those shipments may be liquidated at the all-others rate of 17.50 percent; Commerce intends to issue assessment instructions no earlier than 35 days after the notice is published.

File Reimbursement Certificate or Risk Double Duties

If you import subject merchandise, you must file a certificate about reimbursement of antidumping duties before liquidation for entries in this review period; if you don’t, Commerce may presume reimbursement occurred and assess double antidumping duties. This requirement applies in accordance with 19 CFR 351.402(f) and is a pre-liquidation obligation.

C.S. Aluminium Gets 0.71% Dumping Margin

Commerce found that C.S. Aluminium Corporation had a weighted-average dumping margin of 0.71 percent for sales to the United States during April 1, 2023 through March 31, 2024. That company-specific margin will be used to calculate assessment and cash deposit requirements for entries tied to that producer/exporter.
