Removal of Safety Kits From Procurement List

If you operate a nonprofit that employed people who are blind or have severe disabilities and supplied goods to the federal Procurement List, several safety lighting kits and a Helicopter Landing Zone kit (listed by NSNs such as 6230-01-513-2533 and related NSNs) are deleted from that list effective May 24, 2026. These items were previously furnished by The Arc of Bergen and Passaic Counties, Inc. for the Department of Defense.

Removal of Base Supply and Office Services

Base Supply Center and Office Supply Store services that were mandatory at specified Defense Supply Service locations in the Washington, D.C. area and furnished by Virginia Industries for the Blind are deleted from the Procurement List effective May 24, 2026. The listed mandatory locations include BSC-Defense Supply Service—Jefferson Plaza #1 (Arlington, VA), Rosslyn (Arlington, VA), and Hoffman Building II (Alexandria, VA).

Small Entities May Be Authorized To Supply

The Committee certified that this deletion will not create extra reporting, recordkeeping, or other compliance requirements for small entities, and it may authorize small entities to furnish the deleted products and services to the Government. The certification appears in the Federal Register notice and the action takes effect May 24, 2026.
