Western Michigan VOC and NOX Limits

The EPA is proposing to approve Michigan changes to Air Pollution Control Rules (MAPCR Parts 6 and 8) that limit volatile organic compound (VOC) and nitrogen oxide (NOX) emissions to meet the 2015 ozone standard in Berrien County and the western parts of Allegan and Muskegon counties. The rules include limits on VOCs from consumer products and architectural and industrial maintenance coatings. The EPA reopened the public comment period and will accept comments through May 26, 2026.
