Grants to Make Old Stations Accessible

The All Stations Accessibility Program (ASAP) is a competitive grant program that helps transit agencies upgrade legacy rail and other fixed-guideway stations so they are fully accessible to all riders. ASAP funds improvements such as elevators, ramps, level boarding, and other accessibility features to remove barriers at stations built before modern accessibility requirements.

Annual Reporting Burden on Transit Applicants

Eligible applicants (designated recipients, states including territories and Washington, DC, or local government entities that operate legacy rail fixed-guideway systems) must provide information to support ASAP. The notice estimates 20 respondents, 40 annual responses, and a total annual burden of 280 hours, with the collection submitted for a 3-year OMB extension without change and comments due by May 26, 2026.
