Red Grouper Quota Set‑Aside Pilot
If you fish commercially for red grouper or tilefish, the Gulf Council is proposing a 3-year pilot program to set aside a portion of the Red Grouper commercial quota to distribute to participants in the Grouper/Tilefish Individual Fishing Quota (IFQ) program. The Council is holding webinars on May 13 and May 14, 2026 (6 p.m. EDT) and is accepting written comments through 5 p.m. EDT on May 26, 2026.
