User Fee Exemption for Development Use
If you distribute or receive Cboe EDGA market data as a Controlled Distributor or User, you won’t be charged Display Usage fees when the data is used only for software development, quality assurance, testing, sales support for redistribution, or technical monitoring (the “Permitted Purposes”). The Exchange codified this exemption in its Fee Schedule, and the change took effect on April 13, 2026.
Expanded Non-Display Licensing for AI Uses
Cboe EDGA broadened its definition of Non-Display Usage to include facilitation of access and uses not solely supporting a person’s display, and said firms that transmit data into “black box” solutions (including large language models) may need non-display licenses. This amended definition was codified in the Fee Schedule and became effective on April 13, 2026.
